Privacy Policy

This policy sets out the basis on which any personal data we collect from you, or that you provide to us, will be processed by us. Please read the following carefully to understand our views and practices regarding your personal data and how we will treat it. By using our service and completing any forms you agree to your data being used for the purposes specified below.

For the purpose of The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) 25/05/18 The Cellphone Store Ltd t/a Comms Connect will be what is termed the “Controller” of the personal data you provide to us. The Cellphone Store Ltd ‘s company registration is 3323451 and the registered address is 1st Floor, 507 Centennial Park, Elstree, Herts, WD6 3FG.

Unless otherwise agreed with you, we will only collect basic personal data about you, which does not include any special categories of personal information about you (often known as “sensitive personal data”). This information does, however, include your name, work address, email address and job title, business mobile telephone number and/or business landline number.

Information we may collect from you

We may collect and process the following data about you:

  • information that you provide by filling in forms on our site https://www.commsconnect.co.uk/ (“our site“);
  • details you provide when submitting an order/entering into a contract with us;
  • if you contact us, we may keep a record of that correspondence;
  • information that you send to us in job applications;
  • aggregated information, where we extract non-personal (anonymised) information from the personal data we hold about you.

IP addresses

We may collect information about your computer, including where available your IP address, operating system and browser type, for system administration and to report aggregate information to our advertisers. This is statistical data about our users’ browsing actions and patterns.

Location information

We may also use technology to determine your current location (or the location of your IP address). Some of our services are barred from delivery to certain geographical locations; other services require your location data for the features to work.

You can block cookies by activating the setting on your browser which allows you to refuse the setting of all or some cookies. Unless you have adjusted your browser setting so that it will refuse cookies, our system will issue cookies as soon you visit our site.

Where we store your personal data

The data that we collect from you is stored within the European Economic Area  (the “EEA”). By submitting your personal data, you agree to this transfer, storing or processing. We will take all steps reasonably necessary to ensure that your data is treated securely and in accordance with this privacy policy.

All information you provide to us is stored by us on our secure servers.

Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure. Although we will do our best to protect your personal data, we cannot guarantee the security of your data transmitted to our site; any transmission is at your own risk. Once we have received your information, we will use strict procedures and security features to try to prevent unauthorised access.

Why we need it?

We need to know basic personal data in order to provide you with the telecoms or energy services you have engaged us to provide, and to assert our right to be recompensed in return for these services, as per the contract we have with you. If you do not provide the The Cellphone Store Ltd t/a Comms Connect with this information we will be unable to provide the services you have requested. We will not collect any personal data from you that we do not need in order to provide and oversee the services we have agreed to provide you with.

What we do with it?

All the personal data we hold about you will be processed by our staff in the United Kingdom and no third parties will have access to your personal data unless there is a legal obligation for us to provide them with this. Please be aware, however, that your information may be stored on a cloud-based system whose servers are located within the European Union.  We take all reasonable steps to ensure that your personal data is processed securely.

How long we keep it

Customers – We will generally keep your personal data for a minimum of 6 years after you cease using our services after which it will be destroyed if it is no longer required for the lawful purpose (s) for which it was obtained.

Those receiving offers/promotions – If you consent to marketing/promotions, any information we use for this purpose will be kept by us until you notify us that you no longer wish to receive the information.

What we would also like to do with it?

We would like to send you information about our products and services, by post, telephone, email and SMS. Please note that if you consent to being sent our marketing information via email then your data will be processed through The Layer, our CRM company www.thelayer.com , termed a “Data Processor” for the personal data you provide. We will not send email marketing without your consent and our email marketing contains the option to unsubscribe from further emails.
